Finlandia hires new Assistant Professor of Nursing

September 3, 2021

Aliina Radcliff has joined Finlandia’s College of Health Sciences as an Assistant Professor of Nursing. Radcliff has a strong background in the field with 36 years of nursing experience, the majority of that experience in the operating room and preoperative services.

“I have a strong background in the specialty of Orthopedics as a private nurse and surgical assistant, with a focus on Total Joint Replacement and Revision, sports medicine, and orthopedic trauma,” Radcliff said. “I also have extensive experience in Anesthesia Services as a pre-op nurse specialist with a focus on the patient screening, medical management and medical optimization of patient comorbidities for both elective surgical procedures and trauma surgery.”

Radcliff earned her BSN from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM and her MSN in Nursing Education from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM. She is excited to return home to the Copper Country to utilize her extensive nursing education background to serve students at FinnU.

Something that Radcliff enjoys out of the classroom is extreme Jeeping.

“My husband and I are extreme Jeepers (I drive my own Jeep), doing trails in Moab, Utah, and trails in Southern Colorado such as Black Bear Pass in Telluride, CO. I look forward to exploring the U.P. with my family, and Czech-German Shepherd, Cy.”

The best place to reach Aliina Radcliff is by email at aliina.radcliff@finlandia.edu.
