10 students receive awards at 2023 Juried Student Art Exhibition

2D and 3D artwork on display at the 2023 Student Juried Exhibit.

On March 23, Finlandia University celebrated the arts with three events in one night, including a faculty exhibit, a cardboard fashion show and the 2023 Juried Student Exhibition.

Finlandia University will not enroll students for the 2023-2024 academic year

On Thursday, March 2, Finlandia University’s Board of Trustees announced that Finlandia will not enroll students for the 2023-2024 academic year. The decision follows months of continuous efforts to find pathways for the University to continue its mission.

The Finlandia Scholarship for Art

The Finlandia Scholarship for Art is a new competitive art scholarship opportunity available for Fall 2023 incoming freshmen or transfer students majoring in Art Therapy or Graphic Design.

Scholarship Requirements:

Alum Jaimianne Amicucci receives promotion

Jaimianne Amicucci (‘10) has been promoted to Director for the James Renwick Alliance.

Like most people who visit the copper country, Amicucci fell in love with the sea of trees and long winters during her time at Finlandia University.

“I was looking for three things when I was applying to colleges: great student to teacher ratio, a strong art department and traveling,” says Amicucci, who earned her BFA in ceramics. “Finlandia had the perfect balance of all three.”

Brule Art Scholarship announced on Finlandia Fridays

Finlandia University announces six $20,000 scholarships for students interested in studying art and design.
