Dr. Richard Gee joined Finlandia’s Suomi College of Arts & Sciences in 2012 when he was brought on to develop the University’s Criminal Justice curriculum. After revising, creating and teaching more than 30 different courses and establishing multiple articulation agreements for continued learning, Gee was honored at this year’s spring commencement with the 2022 Board of Trustees Distinguished Faculty Award.

At Hancock Central High School’s Senior Awards Night on May 17, Finlandia’s Education Partner Manager and Dual Enrollment Advisor Lauren Huested proudly presented 18 students with awards and scholarships to attend FinnU in Fall 2022. The Finlandia Alumni Board is hosting its fourth Giving Day on June 14, 2022. The day is dedicated to raising money to help students pay for textbooks.

Finlandia’s Hancock Promise deadline has been extended to May 1. This means Hancock Central High School students who are interested in attending FinnU in Fall 2022 will have additional time to start their application process.
The Hancock Promise allows for Hancock Central High School graduates to attend Finlandia University at a tuition cost of up to only $2,500 per school year. Beginning in 2009, approximately 18-26 students have taken advantage of the program annually.
