Who loves the Kalevala? We love the Kalevala! Kalevalathon comes to Finlandia February 28

Join students and faculty in celebration of Kalevala Day, also known as the Day of Finnish Culture, for the inaugural Kalevalathon on Thursday, February 28 from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Finnish American Heritage Center. The participants from Finlandia University’s Finnish & Nordic Studies Program will be performing a 5.5-hour marathon reading of Kalevala.

Finlandia Dining Hall new meal plan and food offerings

Dining services just got an upgrade

Finlandia University will have new food offering available to students at Finlandia Dining Hall and a new meal plan option for students this fall.

Based off the responses collected from a dining services survey sent out to students and staff this spring, the results prompted the dining services team to take action.

$20,000 Brule competitive art scholarship applications now open

Finlandia University is proud to offer the Dave and Elsa Brule scholarship to our International School of Art and Design.

Calling all Michigan students, the FAFSA deadline is fast approaching. Don’t forget that all FAFSA’s need to be completed by March 1 in order to get the most out of your financial aid package for the coming year.

Finnish American Heritage Center publishes cookbook that’s more than recipes

The Finns’ influence on Copper Country food ways is well documented.

New movie has a pacifistic take on legendary Finnish story

Deadline for scholarship for freshman women is March 1

Freshman women at Finlandia University have a unique opportunity to receive a scholarship that can be used during the 2018-19 academic year in the Virginia Fund Scholarship. Applications are now being accepted. They are due by March 1.
