Student representative Matt McLaughlin on Finlandia Fridays

On this season’s final episode of Finlandia Fridays, the weekly interview series features student representative Matt McLaughlin. Each year one outstanding senior is chosen as the student rep. To be eligible, a student must maintain a 3.9 GPA and be actively involved with the FinnU campus.

McLaughlin named Student Representative at Finlandia University

Late nights and early mornings are often some of the strongest memories from a college experience, but for the 2017 Finlandia University Student Representative Matt McLaughlin – the experience may have been even more dramatic. The Marketing and Communications Department at Finlandia University has released a new video that showcases the many student life opportunities made available to those studying at the university. The video features highlights from events all around the year, including Heikinpäivä, residential life, athletic events and more. Give Drugs the Boot was a hit in first year at FinnU

Give Drugs the Boot was hosted this weekend at Finlandia University. The event kicked off with a very moving talk from Mrs. Brusso. She shared the story of how her daughter suffered the loss of her father and turned to heroin as a coping technique. Despite various attempts to get treatment for her addiction, Jamie Brusso overdosed on heroin in her apartment. Finlandia University Gallery announces summer hours

Finlandia University Gallery in the Finnish American Heritage Center in Hancock announces its return to spring/summer hours. Beginning May 1, the gallery is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The next exhibit is Finlandia University International School of Art & Design 2017 Bachelor of Fine Arts Diploma Works Exhibition opens Saturday, April 29 and will be on display through June 2. Check the gallery’s website for upcoming exhibitions.

Three international students among this year’s business school graduates

This spring’s graduating class really puts the International in the International School of Business (ISB) at Finlandia University. Receiving their BBA on April 30 will be three very special students: Aoi Buto, Pavel Kuzmin and Theresa Wolf.

Campus Ministry hosting slew of Finals Week events

Finals week has arrived at Finlandia University, and students are encouraged to stop by for one of these great events at the Chapel of St. Matthew hosted by Campus Ministry.

Self-Guided Meditation The Chapel will be open throughout the week for self-guided meditation. There will be various devotional and prayer books available to utilize.
