MLK Day of Service

MLK Day of Service at FinnU

In 2016 a new tradition ingrained in service and community was inaugurated at Finlandia University to pay tribute to a man who had a dream – Martin Luther King, Jr. As a Baptist minister who saw no separation between faith and social activism, Dr. King changed the trajectory of civil rights in the United States. To honor his memory, classes are suspended for the day so that Finlandia students, staff, alumni and friends of the university might make their little bit of difference serving our community.
