You Missed the FAFSA Priority Deadline?! Don’t Worry It’s Not Too Late

March 7, 2019

Calling all Michigan students. The FAFSA priority deadline may have come and gone, but it’s not too late to get financial aid for the 2019-2020 academic year. The sooner a student submits their FAFSA, the more likely they are to receive the most available financial aid.

Students seeking financial aid must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA application is available from high school guidance offices, the Finlandia University Office of Financial Aid or the FAFSA application can be completed online at fafsa.gov. Federal and state financial aid programs also use information provided by the FAFSA.

Failure to fill out your FAFSA could result in loss or depreciation of a student’s government financial aid opportunities.

Financial aid awards are processed for returning students when the FAFSA form has been completed and the student has completed current school year classes. Priority financial aid processing will occur when these steps have been completed and the student has registered for new academic year classes.

So don’t fear, there’s still time to get your financial aid, just get on it! To find out more information visit finlandia.edu/fafsa or contact Director of Student Financial Services Sandy Turnquist.
