The Table Student Needs Pantry Wish List

November 23, 2020

The Finlandia student needs pantry, The Table, has released its wish list for the holiday season. Pastor Sarah Semmler-Smith said the following items are needed:

  • Toilet paper
  • New winter hats and gloves
  • Laundry detergent
  • Deodorant
  • Granola bars
  • Crackers
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Ramen
  • Gluten free products

Donations can be dropped off at the lower level of the Chapel of St. Matthew during normal business hours, or mailed to Finlandia University ATTN: Pastor Sarah, 601 Quincy St. Hancock MI, 49930. For questions or to notify Pastor Sarah of a donation, please reach out to her at sarah.semmlersmith@finlandia.edu.

Or, get the most for your donation! Dollars donated to The Table often stretch farther than if you purchase food from a regular grocery store. Approximately $1 donated can purchase $10 worth of food from the local food bank. You can make a monetary donation online – list The Table under ‘specific services’ on the form – or via check/cash mailed to Finlandia University ATTN: Pastor Sarah, 601 Quincy St. Hancock MI, 49930.
Thank you for remembering student needs during this holiday season!

About The Table

The pantry is weekly stocked with fresh produce, pantry items, & frozen meats and breads. In addition, you’ll find school supplies, toiletries, and warm weather gear like hats, wools socks, and gloves.

What is required? Simply sign in using your first name, last initial, and class year at Finlandia. Visit once per week or as you have need.

Where is it again? On the southside of the Chapel, there is a lower level entrance. Once you enter the through that door, look for a large wooden sign reading “The Table” which marks the entry to the Pantry room in the NE corner of the basement.
