Arts & Sciences will offer B.S. in Biology, Psychology; two new minors beginning Fall 2020
Finlandia’s Suomi College of Arts & Sciences is excited to introduce two new bachelor’s degrees and two new minors for fall 2020. The new degrees are a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. The new minors students can explore are Military Science and Global Studies.

Teaching Excellence Award winner making a difference at FinnU
Finlandia University’s psychology department welcomed award-winning professor Kamara Taylor to begin the 2017-18 academic year. Taylor arrived at Finlandia after three years at Illinois Central College, where she earned the Teaching Excellence Award and Faculty Fellowship.

Dr. Jason Oyadomari, Dean of Suomi College of Arts & Sciences and Chair of Curriculum Committee, will be the host of the first Brown Bag Lunch and Learn of the 2017-18 academic year. Doreen Korpela celebrated 40 years of service at Finlandia University this year.
In October of this year Doreen Korpela celebrated the 40th anniversary of her first day at Finlandia University. On Thursday night of last week at the university’ Christmas celebration Korpela was one of 18 employees recognized for more than 220 years of service to the university.
