These words, from Charlie Mackesy’s “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse”, inspired the theme of the first annual Sisu Senior Retreat, which took place in the spring semester. On April 1st, 2022, eleven graduating seniors gathered to reflect on who they were when they began their journey at Finlandia University and how they see themselves now.

On March 26, 2021, 14 new members were inducted into Finlandia’s Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) chapter. The ALD is a National Honor Society for First-Year Success and to become a member, students must earn a 3.5 GPA or higher in their first semester. It’s a moment campus has been waiting for since the news originally broke in 2019. The Seaton Center for Vocation & Career is officially open and housed in Nikander 15. While there are still some furniture pieces coming in and decorating to be completed, the CVC is now offering services and appointment to students.
