Giving Tuesday Brings in Over $62,000 for Student Scholarships

Finlandia University is excited to announce it’s 2019 Giving Tuesday. Over 115 donors helped raise $62,403.25 for student scholarships.

“We are beyond thrilled by the generosity of our donors and their continued support of Giving Tuesday,” Director of Marketing and Communications Olivia Myers said. “We set a lofty goal on the day and our donors stepped up to provide our students with scholarships for the next semester.”

114 honored on Spring 2019 Dean’s and Honors List

Kenneth Kujawa and Malone Hiebert make the walk across campus this winter. Hiebert and Kujawa are both Spring 2019 Dean’s List students.

Finlandia University is proud to announce its Spring 2019 semester Dean’s and Honors List Students. In total 114 students earned honors, including 68 who earned Dean’s List honors for having a Grade Point Average of 3.75 or above.

Local health sciences students receive Portage Health Foundation Scholarship

Small communities need the support of its healers. With the Portage Health Foundation Scholarship, local students are given tuition aid to encourage them to go into the health sciences and in the hopes that they will remain in or return to the Upper Peninsula for their careers.
