Finlandia University’s baccalaureate and commencement ceremonies will be held on Sunday, May 7.

Here’s a complete run-down of when and where everything is happening during Graduation Week 2023.

Rehearsal

Commencement Rehearsal will be held on Friday, May 5 at 11:30 a.m., beginning in the Hirvonen Hall Gymnasium.

Baccalaureate

On Sunday, May 7, all graduates are invited to Baccalaureate Worship at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hancock at 10:30 a.m. This is a service of prayer and blessing, specifically for this graduating class.

Tom Boldt named 2023 Commencement Speaker

Finlandia University is proud to announce that Tom Boldt, CEO of The Boldt Company, will be the 2023 Commencement Keynote Speaker on Sunday, May 7, at 1:30 p.m.

Tom Boldt has served as CEO of The Boldt Company since 1998. He represents the fourth generation of family leadership at the Appleton, WI-based construction management and general contracting firm. Spring 2023 Commencement Ceremony to be held May 7 at Hirvonen Hall

Finlandia University’s Baccalaureate and Commencement activities for the Class of 2023 are scheduled for Sunday, May 7.

Exercises on graduation day will begin Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. with the Baccalaureate Worship Service at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hancock. Finlandia University’s Spring 2023 Commencement Ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. in Hirvonen Hall Auditorium, with doors opening at 12:00 p.m. Immediately following commencement will be a reception for graduates and guests on Quincy Green. Finlandia honors graduating Class of 2022

On Sunday, May 1, Finlandia University held its annual Spring Commencement Ceremony honoring 84 graduates in the Class of 2022. There was standing room only in the Hirvonen Hall Auditorium with more than 700 in attendance.

In his greeting, President Johnson opened with Finlandia’s Land Acknowledgment:

Finlandia Celebrates Class of 2021 with Hybrid In-Person Commencement Ceremony

Thursday, April 29, 2021 marked a historic day in the timeline of Finlandia University. For the first time in two years, students were able to feel the jubilation of walking across the stage on graduation day, diploma in hand.
