Sherry Wyeth leads Health Sciences Admissions

Sherry Wyeth joined the Finlandia University’s College of Health and Science recruitment staff this past semester. Her expertise in building relationships translates directly to university admissions work.

“The physical therapy assistants and nursing Finlandia graduates that I worked with professionally were some of my favorite peers; I’d like to be apart of bringing more of them into the healthcare world, ” said Wyeth. 

Sherry earned her bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a concentration in Psychology from Fort Hays State University. 

“We need to meet people where they are now and not where we want them to be. My job is meeting students where they are currently to help them turn into the successful healthcare professionals they want to be.”   

When Sherry is not communicating with health science students you can find her working as a non-skate official for the Keweenaw Roller Derby, doing arts and crafts with her daughters, and spending time by Lake Superior. 

“Woods and water fuel my spirit, and I am able to get both of those things living in the U.P. “
