Paula Roth added to nursing faculty at FinnU
October 24, 2016Finlandia University’s nursing department is proud to announce the addition of Nursing Instructor Paula Roth. Roth is a practicing nurse at Baraga County Memorial Hospital in nearby L’Anse, Michigan. She has more than 15 years of experience.
“The nursing profession is challenging, especially in rural areas like ours,” Roth said. “I’m excited to pass along my knowledge and my experiences to the next generation of nurses.”
Roth earned her RN from Fayetteville Technical Community College and Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Northern Michigan University. She is currently in the final stages of completing her master’s online.
“Lifelong learning is an aspect of nursing that shouldn’t be avoided,” said Roth, who went back to earn her bachelor’s degree years after starting in the nursing field. “Healthcare is an ever-changing environment that nurses need to be updated on. It’s important to always be looking at the latest in evidence-based practices, equipment and best practices.”
