Incoming students will begin their Finlandia University careers on Thursday, August 25 during New Student Orientation 2016.
“This is going to be an amazing first couple of days on campus,” Director of Academic Success and Student Life Erin Barnett said. “Students will gain instrumental information during the days, and be introduced to much of the natural beauty Lake Superior and Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula have to offer during the evenings.”
The annual welcoming event features day-time introductory events to Finlandia University and college life, as well as some evening activities to help students get to know their peers in safe, social situations. Two of the more memorable events are a cruise on the Ranger III and dinner at McLain State Park in Hancock Township.
A full schedule of orientation 2016 can be found at finlandia.edu/orientation. It will be updated regularly as the event gets nearer.
