Below is information on all six scholarships and a link to the submission form.

Preference in awarding this scholarship is given to applicants of Finnish background from the Calumet area, although students from the four-county region (Keweenaw, Houghton, Baraga, and Ontonagon) will be eligible. The scholarship is awarded to a student in good academic standing who will be returning to Finlandia the next academic year. A primary criterion to be used in selecting a recipient of this scholarship will be his or her financial need. In addition, consideration should be given to the student’s service to others, caring attitude and sisu. A student may receive this scholarship only once.

The recipient of this award will be a continuing Finlandia junior or senior Copper Country resident, preferably female, who is in a Baccalaureate Degree program and demonstrates high personal and scholastic standards.

At its core, the Scholarship aims to support Finlandia’s academic vision: To advance expansive learning that best prepares graduates for the 21st-century workplace and world. The Scholarship also aims to support Finlandia’s commitment to provide an affordable private higher education experience for families in the Upper Peninsula.
