The Suomi College of Arts and Sciences (SCAS) provides academic programs that prepare students through scholarly and creative endeavors to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
Purpose
SCAS programs stimulate curiosity, exercise critical thinking, hone communication skills, and promote active citizenship. Faculty within the College are committed to helping students succeed in their chosen disciplines. Join the Finlandia Alumni Board for a day dedicated to raising money to help students pay for textbooks. The Finlandia Alumni Board seeks to raise $10,000 and is looking to share this message to support their cause. To learn more about how to give back to Finlandia’s students, visit finlandia.edu/givingday. Every $250 awards another FinnU student a textbook scholarship!
Finlandia students who are enrolled for Fall 2022 are encouraged to apply for a $250 Alumni Board Textbook Award. The Award, given in the form of a Textbook Voucher redeemable at North Wind Books, is open to all students who meet the following criteria:

The free application will be open until Friday, July 22 and recipients will be notified prior to the start of the semester.

Finlandia University is proud to announce its Spring 2022 semester Dean’s and Honors List Students. In total 124 students earned honors, including 88 who earned Dean’s List honors for having a grade point average of 3.75 or above.

On Sunday, May 1, Finlandia University held its annual Spring Commencement Ceremony honoring 84 graduates in the Class of 2022. There was standing room only in the Hirvonen Hall Auditorium with more than 700 in attendance.
