Cyril FoxPetrov joins Business Office as Accounting Manager

October 26, 2020

Finlandia University is pleased to welcome Cyril FoxPetrov to its business office as the Accounting Manager.

FoxPetrov was born and raised in Madison, Wis., and he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in Accounting in 2014, and earned his Masters in Professional Accountancy in 2015.

“As the accounting manager I am in charge of managing all receipts and payments, as well playing key roles in financial reporting, budgeting and payroll,” said FoxPetrov. “Currently we have a couple of projects to update, innovate and automate a majority of our accounting processes, and it is a very exciting time for the Finlandia Business office”.

FoxPetrov said his favorite part about working at Finlandia is the people he works with, and the University’s environment.

“It feels good to be working at a not-for-profit university and help our students with the education and resources they need to be successful in the job market,” said FoxPetrov. “I also really like the people I work with, from faculty and employees to work-study students”.

When FoxPetrov isn’t on campus, he enjoys golfing, hiking, disc golfing, as well as ice skating, hockey, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.

The accounting office is currently located in the Old Main building but will be moving to the 7th floor of the Jutila Center located at 200 Michigan Street in Hancock by the end of October.

Cyril FoxPetrov can be reached by email at Cyril.FoxPetrov@finlandia.edu or by phone at 906-487-7360.
