Cowbell Weekend: Men’s Hockey Coach Joe Burcar talks upcoming series on Finlandia Fridays

In this week’s episode of Finlandia Fridays, Head DIII Hockey Coach Joe Burcar sits down with host Jordan Shawhan to discuss this weekend’s upcoming series against the Marian University Sabres. It’s Cowbell Weekend, and the Lions are looking to pack the house.
“There’s a lot of young people in town. You’ve got kids playing hockey, there’s a lot of parents in town, and we’re looking forward to getting them at our rink,” Burcar said.
The Lions play Friday, Feb. 3 at 7:15 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 4 at 4:00 p.m. at Houghton County Ice Arena in Hancock, MI.
“Any kid wearing their game jersey will get in for free, and parents will get in for $5.”
With four regular season games left on the schedule, the Lions control their own destiny as they make a final push toward playoff contention.
