Changes to the Spring 2021 Academic Calendar
October 22, 2020At the recommendation of Finlandia’s Safe Start Task Force, there will be changes made to the Academic Calendar for the Spring 2021 semester. These adjustments are designed to reduce our community’s risk of exposure to COVID-19 by limiting the amount of travel occurring within the semester. Among the approved revisions:
- Monday, January 18 will not have regularly scheduled classes in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
- Classes will begin on Tuesday, January 19.
- Due to the semester starting a week later, there will NOT be a Spring Break included as part of the calendar. Rather, courses will be held continuously through Friday, April 30 (last day of exam week).
Residence Hall Move-In Dates
- International students will be able to move into Finlandia Hall beginning on Saturday, January 9.
- Domestic students will be able to move into Finlandia Hall beginning on Friday, January 15.
