Hancock episode to be shown on Nov. 20
This week the first teaser for a Finnish television series that will feature Finlandia University was released.
In March of this year a crew from one of Finland’s major broadcasting networks came to Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula to highlight the Finnish American culture that is found in our area. A large portion of their visit was at Finlandia University, and it included interviews with FinnU students, Finnish & Nordic Studies professor Dr. Hilary Virtanen, and visits with the staff at the Finnish American Heritage Center.
The episode is one of several the crew shot as they highlighted Finnish culture around the world. The show will begin Monday, October 23 at 9 p.m. local Helsinki time, which is 2 p.m. eastern. Each of the following Monday’s additional episodes will be broadcasted. In addition to broadcasting on Finland’s MTV3, it will be online and on an app titled Katsomo where the show can be watched globally.
The episode featuring Hancock will be shown on November 20. Check out the preview of the series below.Tags: Antti Holma, Dr. Hilary Virtanen, Hilary Virtanen
