FinnU nursing students, faculty and alumni aid in fight against COVID

While most people hunkered down in their homes last spring at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Finlandia nursing faculty began looking for opportunities to get students involved in the (hopefully) once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

COVID-19 Updates on Quarantine, Testing, Food Assistance for Students

Finlandia University, in cooperation with MDHHS recommendations, will begin instituting a 14-day quarantine for close contacts of COVID-19 positive individuals. This is an increase from the previous recommendation of 10 days. The full release from MDHSS is below:

FinnU to Host #CrushCOVID Week

Finlandia University will be hosting #CrushCOVIDWeek on campus from April 5-9 in the hopes of getting more students, faculty, and staff signed up for COVID-19 vaccinations.

Finlandia Announces Hybrid In-Person Commencement on April 29

Finlandia University’s 2021 Spring Commencement will take place on Thursday, April 29 at 6 p.m. in the Hirvonen Health Sciences Building Auditorium. As a safety precaution against the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony will be in-person, but will be limited to graduating students, honor recipients and Finlandia faculty. FinnU launching COVID-19 Vaccine Reporter to track percent vaccinated on campus

Finlandia University is launching a new initiative to track how many within the FinnU community have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Those who have received the vaccine can self-report their vaccine in the new COVID-19 Vaccine Reporter.

The purpose of the COVID-19 Vaccine Reporter is to collect data on vaccine distribution within the Finlandia community.
