Studying abroad is an amazing experience for most students, but for those FinnU students lucky enough to participate in the Service & Learning in Tanzania Experience, it’s a whole different animal. During their three weeks in Tanzania, students participate in curricular and co-curricular activities at Kisarawe Lutheran Jr. Seminary (a secondary school), shadow nurses at the national hospital, and stay with host families. These relationship building opportunities along with accompanying reflection activities help students grow in their understanding of Servant Leadership and engage in self-exploration.
