The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program at Finlandia University is the only PTA program in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. On Saturday, July 23, dozens of Hancock Central High School alumni gathered on the steps of Hirvonen Hall for an all-class photo at the building’s grand reopening ceremony. The former Hancock Public Schools building now serves as the proud home of Finlandia’s professionally accredited health sciences offerings.

Student PTA Club “Shut Your Pie Hole” Contest.

The revival of the Student PTA Club at Finlandia University has brought a number of charitable events to campus since its reboot last fall. Rajala joins Financial Aid staff

Finlandia’s Financial Aid department recently welcomed alumna Jenna Rajala (’15) as the new Coordinator of Student Accounts. Rajala started her higher education journey as a Finlandia student in 2004 and returned to finish her Physical Therapist Assistant degree at the university in 2015.

“This will be my third adventure at Finlandia but my first experience as a staff member,” Rajala said.
