FinnU Employee Career Fair is March 21

Finlandia University will be holding a career fair for FinnU employees and graduating seniors on Tuesday, March 21. The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Paavo Nurmi Center Gymnasium. The confirmed list of the registered universities, colleges, and businesses is intended to be posted at www.finlandia.edu/careerfair by Monday, March 20.

Canal Run 2022 | Photo Gallery

On July 16, President Tim Pinnow joined Finlandia University faculty, staff, and even Riku the Lion, for a day of volunteering at the 47th Annual Canal Run. FinnU volunteers helped out by assisting at the various water stops, handing out awards at the finish line and guiding participants.

Volunteer for Canal Run!

The 47th Annual Canal Run is July 16 this year and they are looking for volunteers!

For more than 40 years, the Canal Run has been creating incredible memories in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula. Founded to promote the involvement and wellness of our community and its members, the event is a highlight of the summer for many of the hundreds of people who participate or volunteer each year. Finlandia hosting on-campus vaccine clinic Tuesday, August 17

Sponsored by the Western UP Health Department, Finlandia University will be hosting an on-campus vaccine clinic at the Finlandia Hall lounge on Tuesday, August 17. From 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., FinnU students and employees are able to receive either the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccine, free of charge. As part of the FinnU Vacc to School Challenge, $100 cash will be provided to students who receive their vaccine and fill out the FinnU Vacc to School Challenge [...]

Social Justice Taskforce hosting training for employees Dec. 1

The President’s Social Justice Taskforce will be hosting a webinar training for all employees by nationally renowned social justice educator Jen Fry. Fry will present “Invisible Playbook: How to Create a Culture of Inclusive Excellence” via Zoom for all FinnU employees on Tuesday, Dec. 1 from 10:45 a.m. – 1 p.m. A zoom link will be sent closer to the day.

FinnU Moves to Phase 2 of the Return to Work Safely Plan

Finlandia University entered Phase 2 of it’s Back to Work Safely Plan for Employees on Monday, June 15. Finlandia employees who cannot work from home can return to work in a limited capacity after completing a mandatory Covid-19 and MIOSHA training in addition to a daily Covid-19 health screening online. The trainings can be accessed in the employee’s ADP portal. The health screening will be emailed to all employees daily.
