Students Invited to Try Cross Country Skiing on March 5

March 1, 2019

Students are invited to try cross country skiing for free on Tuesday, March 5 thanks to a partnership between Finlandia University, Cross Country Sports and the Swedetown Trails Club. This opportunity is free to all students with a bus leaving at 4:30 p.m. and expected to be back by 7:30.

The event includes a stop at Cross Country Sports in Calumet where every participant will get custom fit to a pair of boots and classic cross country skis. Once everyone is geared up, students will head to the Swedetown Trails in Calumet for skiing and hot cocoa.

There is no cost for the equipment rentals and to be on the trails.

To sign up, email michael.babcock@finlandia.edu. Space on the bus is limited to only 14 students. Though the free equipment rentals and bus is limited to 14 people, all students, faculty and staff interested in joining are invited to join at the chalet and on the trails.
