September 12, 2016

soren-campus-ministry-finlandia-universityOn Tuesday, September 13 Finlandia University Campus Ministry will host the inaugural Second Tuesday Recital Series featuring poetry, music, dancing and acting in Finlandia’s Chapel of St. Matthew. The event will be from 12:30 to 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.

“This is being done to support the performing arts at Finlandia,” Campus Pastor Soren Schmidt said. “These events are open to any and all Finlandia community members, and should be a great time for personal growth and building of relationships.”

The first one will feature several performances by students, employees and local community members. It’s not too late to join, either. Those interested in performing should contact Soren Schmidt, (906) 487-7239 soren.schmidt@finlandia.edu, to pre-approve your piece. Recital pieces must be pre-approved, and information (composer, dates, name of piece, voice or instrument, etc.) must be given at least 24 hours in advance (the sooner the better!).
