Nordic Film Series opens with Finnish comedy

The 2017-18 Nordic Film Series at Finlandia University’s Finnish American Heritage Center opens October 12 with two showings of the Finnish comedy “3 Simoa” (Simo Times Three). The showings will take place at 2 and 6 p.m. in the Heritage Center’s Martha Wiljanen Community Hall.

This 2012 caper comedy features two friends, Simo and Lasse, who try to make a living as burglars. However, a decision Simo made during a night of imbibing comes back to haunt him and changes the friends’ plans. This film is about 90 minutes long and is in Finnish with English subtitles.
