What is an installation service and why do we need one?
A pastor installation service is the ceremony that recognizes a minister as the new pastor at a particular place they are called to serve.
The formal service is held within the sanctuary of the place in the community called to serve, and with other members of the served population present.
Typically, the Synod Bishop, local clergy, and leaders of the served community would be present and some would take part in segments of the service.
An installation service is an important part of recognizing the relationship between the called pastor and the community in which that person serves.
