Folk School announces programming for Fall 2022
September 19, 2022The Finnish American Folk School has released its August 2022 newsletter! Established by the Finnish American Heritage Center and led by Phyllis Fredendall and Clare Zuraw, the Finnish American Folk School exists to ensure that Finnish-American folk traditions exist for centuries to come.
The FAFS took a bit of a breather after the whirlwind of Juhannus celebrations, but now we’re back and excited to share our latest news with all of you. First, we’d like to express our thanks to everyone who made our midsummer celebration a success. From artists who performed and shared their work in the Finlandia University Gallery, to our dedicated volunteers, rug weaving students, singers, dancers – kiitos. As summer slowly draws to a close, we look back on those long days in June with a smile.
We’re pleased to announce that we now have another way for our friends to support and sustain the work that we do. Donations made to the linked button below will go directly to the FAFS to support our unique cultural programming throughout the year.
