Finlandia Hall Dining Area expands hours for rest of semester

In addition to offering space to hang out, dining area to host Study Tables

Finlandia Academic Services, TRIO Student Support Services, Athletics and Dining Services are collaborating to provide an evening experience in the Finlandia Hall Dining Area. The dining area will be open Sunday through Thursday nights from 8 to 11 p.m. from Monday, November 7 until the end of the semester. Students can purchase short order freshly prepared food using cash, meal passes or exchanges.

During these hours, the lower level of the dining area will be staffed for all student studying and tutoring. A weekly schedule of professional tutors is available to all students on a walk-in basis. No appointment is needed. Student-Athletes needing documented monitored study hours can take advantage of these extended academic support hours, but all students are encouraged to take advantage of the extended tutoring services.

The initiative kicked off on Monday, November 7. Student response was positive. Small groups were scattered through out the lower dining level studying while many others purchased evening snacks.
