April 16, 2021

This week on Finlandia Fridays, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Fredi DeYampert talks about, for some Finlandia students, the most magical moment of the year, Graduation 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the day will look different compared to a normal year, but pandemic or not, achieving a college degree is still an accomplishment worth celebrating.

Guests attending the event can expect RSVP requirements, reserved seating, screening at the door, social distancing, and mask requirements.

“We will allow the graduates to invite up to two guests,” said DeYampert. “We are trying to minimize potential risk exposure in light of COVID-19.”

Faculty will be able to attend the event, but unless volunteering, staff will not be in attendance.

“We’re providing as many opportunities for the graduates to share this celebration with their loved ones while remaining within compliance with the COVID guidelines that are in place for the State as well as for our local community.”
