Finlandia continues work on Terry Talo Lion’s Den at McAfee Field

On Monday a crew from LJJ Construction, Inc. will continue work on the first phase of the athletics fieldhouse at McAfee Field. The building which will house the Terry Talo Lion’s Den.

The project is expected to be finished in early August. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, September 3, during the football team’s home opener against Concordia College.

“This project is made possible through the support of an anonymous friend of the university who wished to name the building in honor of a good friend and proud Finn, Terry Talo,” Finlandia University President Philip Johnson said in a press release prior to the building’s groundbreaking.
