What to expect at Finlandia Preview Day

Thinking about attending FinnU in the fall of 2018? You’ll want to be here for Finlandia Preview Day, which is Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event includes tours, key one-on-one meetings with FinnU officials and one lucky attendee will win a $500 scholarship.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Get your Snapchat ready, it’s going to be a fun day in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula!

CAMPUS TOURS

Finlandia’s admissions staff is going to be leading half-hour long tours of campus. You’ll get to see Finlandia Hall’s spacious dorm rooms, the Jutila Center’s beautiful art studios, the three buildings where you’ll have class on a daily basis and of course our 2015-remodeled Paavo Nurmi Center.

MEET CLASSMATES, COACHES AND PROFESSORS

We’ll have a couple activities that will help you get to know your future classmates, host welcoming events with our professors and allow time for students to meet the coaches of several of our 12 NCAA Division III athletic programs.

TALK SCHOLARSHIPS

It may not sound like the most exciting thing, but it’s vital to talk about as you plan for your future. We offer incredible entrance scholarships, including up to $7,500 for highly qualified students. We also freeze your tuition upon your first semester’s price, offer a scholarship for community service and have great scholarship opportunity for those from the U.P. In addition to all of that, one lucky attendee of Finlandia Preview Day will win a $500 scholarship.
