Blood Drive Hosted by SNA on April 17

Finlandia University’s Student Nurses’ Association is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, April 17 from 3 to 7 p.m. in front of Finlandia Hall. No pre-registration is required and all blood types are being accepted.

The blood drive is being put on in conjunction with the Upper Peninsula Regional Blood Center. Donated blood helps save lives throughout the U.P. There is currently a critical need for A-negative and O-negative.

Those interested in donating are encouraged to prepare by:

Eating a big breakfast.
Dinking plenty of water the day before, just before and after donating.
Taking it easy after donating; avoid strenuous activity and drink plenty of fluids.
Remember to bring a photo I.D. when donating!
