Annual FUSNA Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser for Omega House Returns
March 25, 2019The Finlandia University Student Nurses’ Association (FUSNA) is back to put on their annual pancake breakfast and raffle fundraiser for Omega House in Houghton. The breakfast is located at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, on April, 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
FUSNA, which has been in its current form since 2011, is a chapter of the National Student Nurses’ Association, which seeks to “promote development of the skills that students will need as responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession.” At Finlandia, the group aims to provide education services for student nurses and support for the community.
FUSNA hosts a number of fundraising and community involvement events, including a spring blood drive. This is one of the key fundraising events for FUSNA for the year.
All proceeds from the pancake breakfast go to benefit Omega House, a local hospice care and end-of-life service provider, which is also a key clinical site for Finlandia nursing students.
This year is the third year FUSNA has hosted the benefit and raffle.
For tickets to the breakfast, or for more information, contact FUSNA President Anna Johnson at agjohnson@finlandia.edu or (906) 370-2581.
