Amber Devlin accepts Enrollment Officer position

Finlandia University is excited to welcome Amber Devlin to the Admissions’ staff as an Enrollment Officer.

“We’re excited for Amber to join our team because she has a great personality and a passion for providing excellent customer service,” said Collin Saint-Onge, Director of Admissions. “Her personality and passion fits perfectly here at Finlandia because we pride ourselves on a personal approach to the admissions experience and that is exactly what Amber will provide.”

Devlin is bringing her passion for helping young people grow to her new role. 

“I was looking to get into a position that was rewarding,” said Devlin. “The best part of the job is building relationships with the students. I can go home and feel like I accomplished something, I made a difference.”

Devlin received her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Wisconsin-Stout. After graduating from Stout, Devlin moved to the Copper Country to be able to use the skills she had learned in a new environment.

“I loved the student-to-teacher ratio at UW-Stout, and when I was interviewing here they told me it was about the same,” said Devlin.”I knew it was a perfect fit.”

Finlandia’s student-to-teacher ratio during the 2016-17 school year was 11-to-1, a point of pride for the university in its effort to provide a great experience for its students. Devlin is using her similar collegiate story to give future Lions the best college experience.

“I’m excited to see students go through the whole process,” said Devlin. “I can’t wait to meet them.”
