Potluck Dinner and Artist Presentation Demystifying Digital Art by Pamela Kotila

The Copper Country Community Arts Center in Hancock will host a potluck dinner and artist presentation, Demystifying Digital Art, by Pamela Kotila on Friday, September 30 at 6 p.m.

Kotila, an alum of Finlandia University’s International School of Art & Design, is an artist and writer working in comics, games and books. She recently published the first volume of her long-running fantasy webcomic, Spidersilk. She will give a presentation on digital art; no experience in digital art is necessary — the presentation is meant to show the basic tools and uses of programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint in making illustration, comics and concept art.

The event will be at the Copper Country Community Arts Center, which is located at 126 Quincy Street in downtown Hancock. All are welcome, but those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by September 29 by calling (906) 482-2333 or e-mailing cynthia@coppercountryarts.com.
