Frank Pergande new academic coordinator at TRIO Upward Bound
May 24, 2018Finlandia University is excited to welcome Frank Pergande as the new the TRIO Upward Bound (UB) academic coordinator. Pergande earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and his Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Northern Michigan University. He previously taught English at NMU, overseas at Pohang University of Science and Technology in South Korea and the Marquette Prison through Jackson College.
“I was very excited at the opportunity to work more locally with TRIO UB to assist high school students who might be struggling or not realize all the opportunities that their future could hold,” said Pergande.
And while Pergande looks forward to working with students, he’s also excited about another thing he’s sure to get plenty of: snow.
“I’m a big fan of winter, so I look forward to the few extra weeks – and feet – of snow that moving a couple hours further north will bring,” said Pergande.
