Thrivent Choice provides more than $16,000 to FinnU in 2017

2017 Choice Dollars expire on March 31, 2018

As Thrivent members know, Thrivent Choice® dollars have provided more than $370 million in financial support to thousands of churches, schools and other nonprofits. Through this program, eligible members can recommend where Thrivent donates millions of charitable outreach dollars each year.

Bonus Choice Dollars available to Thrivent members who direct to Finlandia

Currently Thrivent Financial is generously providing additional bonus Choice Dollars ($50) for each Thrivent benefit member to direct to a nonprofit organization.

If you have not already done so, please consider directing your Choice Dollars to Finlandia University by logging into your Thrivent account or by calling (800) 847-4836. Barnett named Dean of Students at Finlandia

Erin Barnett has been named Dean of Students at Finlandia University. Barnett has been with Finlandia since September 2013, advancing from Coordinator of Academic Support Services to Director of Academic Success and Student Life in May 2014, before accepting this position in July 2017.

Give Drugs the Boot was a hit in first year at FinnU

Give Drugs the Boot was hosted this weekend at Finlandia University. The event kicked off with a very moving talk from Mrs. Brusso. She shared the story of how her daughter suffered the loss of her father and turned to heroin as a coping technique. Despite various attempts to get treatment for her addiction, Jamie Brusso overdosed on heroin in her apartment. It was a beautiful summer day in August when Gary and Jean Terrio made it back to Finlandia’s campus.
