Institutional Effectiveness & Innovation

The Institutional Effectiveness & Innovation (IEI) team is dedicated to developing our learning community’s transformational culture, empowered by data, improving academic excellence, spiritual growth, and service for Finlandia University.

IEI is charged with developing the institution’s data culture and technological advances, supporting the needs of students, alumni, faculty, staff, other key stakeholders.

IEI will identify and support information needs through collection, analysis, and reporting that supports strategic planning, program review, and  assessment.

Transforming and empowering our students is at the core of everything we do here at Finlandia University. To assure Finlandia’s mission is being met, IEI synthesizes multiple systems of institution-wide data to inform decision-making across campus, helping maintain and strengthen best practices in teaching, learning, student support, and other services for students, alumni, and our extended learning community.

By managing and coordinating institution-wide data systems, along with the policies and procedures that govern them, IEI operates as a centralized data-hub to provide and promote a more intuitive, analytical presentation and strategic use of data across the university. Accomplishing these tasks, IEI will remain committed in all endeavors to providing information, analysis, and research that is timely, ethical, non-biased, and accurate to appropriately transform our learning community, making it more efficient and effective for all of our students, alumni, and those who serve them.
