A parade in winter? Why not?

First-timers are shocked at how large the Heikinpäivä parade is, featuring music, noise, color and quirkiness. Come and see the Finnish Theme Committee’s costume collection bring Finnish-American and Finnish mythical characters to life — characters such as Heikki Lunta, Väinämöinen, St. Henrik, Louhi and Lemminkäinen along with his ever-vigilant mother.

It’s a time to get your Finnish on, by joining in the parade entry. Prizes are available along Finnish, Nordic, and winter themes.
