Start off the school year by making a difference in the local community!  Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Calumet is in need of help with some lifting and loading on Saturday 8/22, starting at 11 a.m. While you’re up there, explore historic and awesome Calumet, with its great coffee shops, stores, and restaurants. Bare Bluff Hike with President Johnson

Get out and explore the amazing beauty of the Copper Country on a 2.9 mile hike on the Bare Bluff Trail in Copper Harbor with President Johnson. Van departs Finlandia Hall at 10AM each day. Following the hike, refreshments will be served at the Johnson’s Eagle Harbor cottage. 6 participant max each day. Sign up here.

Day of Wellness Bonfire

There will be a bonfire between the Chapel of St. Matthew and Hoover Center from 7-9pm to kick off the Day of Wellness. S'more kits and hot cider will be available. Masks and social distancing required.

Cornhole: Day of Wellness Event

, Paavo Nurmi Center

Cornhole from 12p.m. - 4 p.m. in the Paavo gym! A max of 20 people will be permitted in the gym at one time. Come on your own or with friends to play a game. Each person that plays a game of cornhole will be entered into a drawing for gift certificates to local restaurants. You may be entered multiple times.

Switchboard Games Live Virtual Event

 FinnU will be participating in a virtual game event playing classics such as Family Feud, Jeopardy and The Logo Game hosted by Switchboard Games. Students will compete against other college students from St. Xavier University, Dunwoody College and Eastern Gateway Community College. The event will take place on Thursday, Jan. 28 from 7:30pm-8:45pm on Zoom. Students can join via laptop (preferred) or smartphone, with or without their camera on, to comfortably play in hilarious small group settings. Two winners from each school will take home prizes.
