The Mobile Food Pantry is Back at the Chapel on Dec. 3

On Thursday, December 3, Finlandia University will be hosting another Mobile Food Pantry in the parking lot between Old Main and the Chapel of St. Mattew. Organized through Feeding American West Michigan, mobile food pantries help fill the gap in hunger needs in a community, by supplementing the ongoing work of local pantries with much needed fresh produce, meat, and dairy. FinnU TRIO SSS Grant Renewed for $1.7M Over 5 Years

 The U.S. Department of Education announced that Finlandia University’s TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) grant program will be renewed for $1,705,835 over five years to help more students succeed in and graduate from college. FinnU’s TRIO SSS program has been providing services on campus for almost 30 years and assists 180 students annually.

Meet the 2018-19 TLC/TRIO Tutors

TRIO Tutoring Services is excited to introduce the 2018-19 tutors.

The Tutoring and Learning Center offers all Finlandia students free tutoring for help in many general education courses and some upper level courses. The TLC also offers study skill workshops, study groups, computer literacy development, and the use of a small computer lab. FinnU faculty members utilize the TLC to provide students with study aids such as classroom reserve material, review sheets, and past exams.
