North Wind Books is excited to bring back Cub Club for another summer. This four-part series of events will highlight unique children’s books and each feature a special guest host. Children will also be invited to participate in a craft during the event. Events are free, open to the public and no RSVP is required. Each event begins at 11 a.m.
Finlandia University is excited to host author and artist, Kiranada Sterling Benjamin, on campus this week.
She will be teaching a rozome workshop June 20-24, specializing in different techniques in the fiber arts studio in the Jutila Center. Rozome is the art of creating patterns on silk using dyes and wax to create negative spaces.

Every Thursday, beginning August 17 and running through the end of September, North Wind Books will be hosting a local baker for a series titled “Bakers & Books.” The series is open to the public, will feature complementary coffee and will begin at 10 a.m. each Thursday.
