Finlandia graduates 86 during emotional commencement ceremony

Save the Date: Diversity Dinner on April 6

The annual Diversity Dinner will be Thursday, April 6 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in Finlandia Hall.

Korpela leads crew of 18 recognized for 220+ years of service

Doreen Korpela celebrated 40 years of service at Finlandia University this year.

In October of this year Doreen Korpela celebrated the 40th anniversary of her first day at Finlandia University. On Thursday night of last week at the university’ Christmas celebration Korpela was one of 18 employees recognized for more than 220 years of service to the university.

The next longest tenured employee celebrated Thursday night Phyllis Fredendall at 25 years, followed by 20 years each for

Finlandia Hall hosting Walk to End Alzheimer’s fundraiser

Finlandia University is a proud partner in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s event that is taking place in the Finnish American Heritage Center on September 10, starting at 10 a.m.

Along with Finlandia students and employees walking in the event, FinnU will be holding a raffle for a small Finlandia gift basket, graciously donated by North Wind Books, during student check-ins in Finlandia hall. Save $1,000 by tripling up in Finlandia Hall

Finlandia University students who will be residing in Finlandia Hall have the opportunity to save $1,000 over the year ($500 per semester) by living with three people in a room.

“You will get a discount from the university on your room charges,” Coordinator of Residential Life Leann Fogle said.

Finlandia University Residential Life has partnered with College-Ave to make life easier for those living in Finlandia Hall this fall.

“Everything a student needs to comfortably and stylishly live in Finn Hall is available through College-Ave,” Coordinator of Residential Life Leann Fogle said. “Plus, it can get delivered right to the dorm so it will be ready for the student upon arrival.”
