Leading the Pride kicks off 2020 with Management and Entrepreneurship alumnus Schwartzen Précil (‘17). Located in Buffalo,NY, Précil is currently a site director at the Boys and Girls Club of America.On campus, Précil was a member of the men’s basketball team, helped students as a resident assistant, assisted with orientation as an orientation leader and led the Black Student Union as president.

Finnish Exchange Alum, Marko Luoma (’03), talks International Business on Leading the Pride

Leading the Pride is back this month with businessman, Marko Luoma (’03). Luoma was a Finnish exchange student at Finlandia in the early 2000s and played hockey for the Lions. After spending several years working in the business sector, Luoma and his siblings decided to start their own business called Xport, which focuses on helping businesses break into new international markets.

Treppa, who studied Human Services and is originally from Laurium, is an award-winning author of the true crime book Reclaiming Lives: Pursuing Justice for Six Innocent Men, which details the Monfils 6 case and six men who were wrongfully convicted of murdering their coworker at a Wisconsin paper mill in the 1990s.
