This year’s campus read author is Katya Gordon of Seachange Expeditions. Her book Climate Change Musings and Studies from Lake Superior’s North Shore is available at North Wind Books from now until October.
Gordon will be reading at 7 p.m. on October 22 and visiting on campus with student groups on October 22 & 23. The event will be taking place in the Leroy Karanen Conference Room, also known as Jutila Chapel Room 323.
“The committee was intrigued by Katya Gordon’s local approach to climate activism and the similarity of her Two Harbors community on the Minnesota shoreline of Lake Superior to ours,” Assistant Professor of English Dr. Carolyn Dekker said. “We hope her visit can help energize campus and local conversations and actions around climate change and sustainability.”
