FinnU named to Best Bachelor’s Degree Colleges

Finlandia University was recently named among the best for bachelor’s degrees in the State of Michigan in 2022 by University Headquarters.

Among the most important factors in the ranking system of University HQ is accreditation and the Higher Learning Commission provides that to Finlandia University with institutional accreditation. Physical Therapy Assistant and Nursing programs at Finlandia are also accredited. New internship opportunity for International Business majors

Finlandia BBA students majoring or minoring in International Business now have an opportunity for a summer internship through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s new International Trade and Development Internship program. The program matches highly motivated students to companies seeking assistance in developing their export sales. The students will work for small- to medium-sized Michigan companies that are interested in or are currently exporting. Local students looking forward to next FinnU Shark Day

Taking a spin on the hit TV show “Shark Tank”, Finlandia University held its inaugural FinnU Shark Day on Wednesday, March 9 with more than 60 high school students from L’anse, Baraga Area and Calumet in attendance. Students competed for the chance to win a $2,500 scholarship in the first event of its type on Finlandia’s campus.

There’s a new investment club on the Finlandia campus. Hirvonen Hall mural raises awareness of mental health

You won’t be able to miss the new addition to the third floor of Hirvonen Hall, a 20-foot canvas painted by campus and community members. The mural, located in Finlandia’s College of Health Sciences building, seemingly appeared out of thin air, but guiding sketches pinned to the wall traced us back to one of the most renowned mural artists in the area, Mariana Nakashima.

Higher education resource guide releases the best institution programs for 2022

Hancock, MI– Intelligent.com has named Finlandia University one of the Best Colleges in Michigan in 2022 for the second year in a row.

Perreault (’18) elected to CLK Foundation Board of Directors

Nathan Perreault, an Assistant Professor of Management with Finlandia’s International School of Business (ISB), was recently elected to the Calumet-Laurium-Keweenaw (CLK) Foundation Board of Directors.
