Finlandia University senior Marketing major Madelyn Waterman has been selected for the 2023 Ponsse Einari Vidgrén Foundation Internship. Finlandia and Ponsse are proud to welcome Waterman into this position as the first internship recipient since 2019, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The artist reception for Finlandia University’s 2023 International School of Art & Design Faculty Exhibit has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 23. Teach-Out & Transfer Fair for FinnU Students is March 20

Finlandia University students are invited to attend our Teach-Out & Transfer Fair coming up on Monday, March 20. The event will be held on-campus from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Paavo Nurmi Center Gymnasium. Over 20 colleges and universities will be in attendance. Reception postponed for 2023 Faculty Exhibit at Finlandia University Gallery

HANCOCK, MI – Due to predicted inclement weather, the artist reception for Finlandia University’s International School of Art and Design Faculty Exhibit, originally scheduled for Thursday, February 23rd, has been postponed. The new reception date will be announced once scheduling can be confirmed.

The exhibit is currently open to the public for viewing. Please visit the gallery between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday to view the faculty exhibit and watch for the announcement of the rescheduled reception.

The Finlandia Scholarship for Art is a new competitive art scholarship opportunity available for Fall 2023 incoming freshmen or transfer students majoring in Art Therapy or Graphic Design.

Scholarship Requirements:

Local students show entrepreneurial skills at FinnU’s Shark Day competition

Finlandia University held its second annual Shark Day on Wednesday with teams of high school juniors and seniors from Calumet, Baraga Area and Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College’s career technical education program. Students competed to win a $2,500 scholarship to attend Finlandia University.
